One of the most interesting aspects of the house is the natural way the rooms are divided, giving a constant feeling of space. Most of the rooms on the ground floor have direct access to the exterior, by way of wide glass doors. Here the relationship with nature is highly regarded.
There is a a large living room and dining area which can sit at least 6 people, on the ground floor, and another living room, on the first floor. Casa das Bicas also boasts a very modern kitchen, prepared for every culinary adventure.

A comfortable wooden deck goes all around the house. If you wish to have a meal in the open, you will find a very pleasant eating area. The several details of architecture and design, concerning the surrounding environment, make this house a 21st century luxury. One of the sure values is, undoubtedly, the swimming pool and the adjacent lounging area. The pool beds in a cool and covered area.
The house is located in Southwest Portugal, about 70 minutes drive from Lisbon or Faro, on a spit of land jutting out into a paddy field with access via a long road across a pine forest.
The house forms part of what is known as Herdade da Comporta. Herdade da Comporta encompases 12500 hectares including the little villages of Comporta, Torre, Brejos, Carvalhal, Muda and Bicas, so there is plenty to explore.
You can fly directly into the property by helicopter, or transfer from Lisbon or Faro airports.
Should you arrive by car, our housekeeper will be waiting for you to deliver the house keys, help you to unpack and get settled in.

A car and driver can also be provided at an extra charge so that you have the freedom to visit a different beach or in the evenings sample the many restaurants.
The house is located in the middle of Alentejo coast, known for its deserted beaches, which are more or less surrounded on all sides by natural reserves. Our favourite beaches are Praia do Pego (13km), Aberta Nova and Carvalhal.
Comporta beach itself gets crowded on weekends, but if you walk a little further (the sandy area is huge) you will easily find a place with few people and peace and quiet. Comporta Beach has easy access, is suitable for people with reduced mobility, and has a blue flag and free parking. The restaurants on offer are great and here you will surely spend an unforgettable vacation with family or friends.
