Eilean Shona House is nestled into the island‘s protected south east corner overlooking the loch. Shoe Bay, Shona’s stunning beach is a blue lagoon when the tide is high and a vast white sandy bowl when the tide is out.
The classic Scottish façade of Eilean Shona House conceals comfortable and quirky interiors. Large, well-equipped counrty style kitchen with an aga, dining room, library with full size billiard table and dart board. The drawing room is light and comfortable with an open fire, sofas, a seated alcove with magnificent views of the loch, a grand piano and a selection of works from emerging international artists.

There is so much to do and take in on this beautiful island, from building camp fires, crabbing, swimming, painting, picnicking, kayaking, nature watching, photography and walking. Eilean Shona has a number of beautiful and varied walks. The island is about 2.5 miles by 1 mile. To walk around the entire coast takes a good 5 hours. Swimming in Eilean Shona's pristine waters is one of life's great pleasures.
Scotland's landscape is scattered with Munros and mist-shrouded hills... but Ben Nevis is the king of them all. In the north west Highlands, near the town of Fort William and part of the Grampian Mountain range, the famous peak attracts 125k walkers a year.
