The Kasbah Bab Ourika stands in exceptionally beautiful landscape in the atlas mountains. On it’s hilltop, at the apex of the Ourika valley, it looks down to the river, green fields and groves of olives, oranges and lemons and up to the dazzling snowy mountain peaks.

With 360 degree panoramic views, Kasbah Bab Ourika receives warm sunlight all day, ending in spectacular sunsets. The Kasbah offers peace and relaxation in beautiful surroundings, creating a memorable escape from the hustle of the Western world.

Inside

Large windows and glass doors designed on the Egyptian gold number, take advantage of the views that surround the Kasbah. The interior reflects the true surroundings and the convention of the Berber villages, by using traditional materials to create the inside of the ‘chic ethnic’ styled boutique hotel.

Bedrooms

The Kasbah has 21 rooms, all individually decorated with stunning views of the atlas, the national park and the Ourika valley where guests can view from their private terraces. There are 15 rooms in the main Kasbah building and 6 rooms in the gardens and including pool suites.

Outside

Perched on its own hill top, the Kasbah is surrounded by the incredible Ourika valley, creating panoramic views.

Location

Located 35 minutes away from Marrakesh’s international airport.

Staff & Dining

Meals are served in the gardens or in the colonnaded restaurant or can be taken privately in the rooms or suites. The restaurant serves food that is freshly supplied daily from the surrounding villages. The chef specialises in traditional Berber recipes as well as international cuisine.

Things to Do

Those curious to see more of Morocco can visit the large Monday Berber market at the nearby town of Tnine Ourika or call at some of the farms that grow herbs and flowers in the valley for the perfumiers and herbalists who sell a wide variety of exotic perfumes in the Medina. For the energetic there is also hiking, trekking and riding from the Kasbah or skiing nearby in the Atlas mountains. Alternatively, guests can drive 45 minutes into Marrakech to explore on foot the Souks in the Medina and enjoy the delights of the famous Main Square (Djemaa el Fna).

The Kasbah can also arrange other activities, including horse riding, day trips, camel trekking or hot air balloon rides.
