The luxurious Cotswold farmhouse has an established private garden and each room is individually decorated ensuring a comfortable and relaxing stay.

Inside

The Farmhouse has a large fully-equipped kitchen/diner, drawing room with fireplace and a formal dining room with fireplace, seating 10.

Bedrooms

2 double master bedrooms, 2 double bedrooms with en-suites, 1 twin bedroom and 1 single bedroom.

Outside

Tennis court and private gardens (including garden furniture and patio with small table seating 6 for outdoor dining, BBQ.)

Location

Charlbury and Kingham Train Stations – both with direct lines to London Paddington – are within seven minutes of Merriscourt. The journey to London is approx. 80mins by train. The staff are available to arrange transport for you and your guests throughout your stay.

Staff & Dining

Chefs can be arranged upon request and pride themselves in selecting the very best of locally-sourced seasonal produce. Merriscourt can also provide a comprehensive wine list.  Private catering and chambermaid service can be arranged.

Things to Do

Clay Pigeon Shooting, fishing and boating can be organised on request.

The Wild Rabbit and The Plough are both excellent pubs in nearby Kingham (5 mins away). The Chequers Pub is highly recommended in Churchill (2 mins away).

Daylesford Organic Shop with its new restaurant, spa, yoga classes and delicious food to buy is a personal favourite (5 mins away).

Chadlington Food Shop is the nearest shop with an excellent butcher, Slatters and sells fresh local produce. (7 mins away)

Burford Wildlife Park is a fantastic day outing for children.

Renting a boat at Lechlade is a fun activity in the summer.

The bustling cosmopolitan town of Oxford is 30 minutes away, world famous for its University and history.

The world heritage site Blenheim Palace is 20 minutes away, just outside of Oxford and makes for a great day out with its historic architecture and beautiful gardens. Tours of the house are available and lots of activities for children.

Warwick Castle has many activities for children, including live jousting!

Nearby historical towns to visit include Stow on the Wold, Burford and Moreton in Marsh. For those who love exquisite gardens, visit the exceptional Sezincote, Hidcot and Kiftsgate.

Bicester Village is a must for those who love to shop. Discounted designer stores, luxury fashion shops and homeware boutiques.

Wychwood Forest has a enchanting magical trail.
