Tiger’s Nest is a luxury contemporary alpine lodge situated at 1600m in the east of Les 4 Vallées. This fully-staffed retreat offers access to some of Europe’s best skiing, as well as also being an idyllic summer base. Tiger’s Nest is perfectly suited for two families or groups of friends.
Named after Bhutan’s iconic Tiger’s Nest Temple, the four-storey lodge is designed to offer guests a tranquil mountain escape in elegant surroundings with dramatic 270° views of the Pennine Alps, including the famous Dent Blanche and Matterhorn peaks.
Built in 2012, Tiger’s Nest sits on three levels with a basement. The house is furnished throughout in a luxurious East meets West contemporary style in collaboration with one of Scotland’s finest interior designers, Gilly Corkery. There are superb linens, beautiful silks and cashmeres, an abundant use of chrome, silver and glass, and stunning wall creatives throughout the four floors of the house.
On the ground floor, there are three en suite double bedrooms (two of which can be converted into twins), with a further double bedroom and separate bathroom. All have Bose iPod speakers, safes, robes and slippers, hairdryers and spa products.
The master suite is located on the entire top floor of the house, and has spectacular views of the Matterhorn range of mountains. The suite features a romantic free-standing bed and a spectacular bathtub for two, a walk-in-wardrobe, and sitting and television area.
Facilities within Tiger’s Nest also include a breakfast terrace, lunch and evening terrace with fire-pit, a separate yoga deck and gas BBQ.
Tiger’s Nest is less than 2 hours by car from Geneva airport, and 3 hours from Zurich and Milan’s Malpensa airports. A highly efficient direct train service also connects Sion to Geneva Airport. The journey takes approximately 2 hours.
In addition, private planes can fly into Sion Airport during daylight hours. Airport transfers can be arranged or taxis for an additional charge. Helicopter transfers to Sion can also be arranged.
Ingredients, menus and dietary requirements can be agreed in advance of your stay, or you can ask the chef to surprise you. With a focus on local produce, the cuisine is Swiss, international and Asian and the experience can be as formal or relaxed as you wish. Healthy menus are also a speciality. The wine list boasts local vineyard selections, as well as wines from France, Italy and the New World.
Time at Tiger’s Nest is designed to be highly tailored. The dedicated on-the-ground team – including a host, chef and driver – offer guests fabulous service, superb food and wine, as well as those little touches that make a stay so relaxing and memorable.

Tiger’s Nest is situated above the snowline at an altitude of 1600m in the Swiss Alps with many popular ski lifts just a few minutes away, which guests can easily be driven to and from.
The lodge is in the East of les 4 Vallées, Switzerland’s most expansive ski area outside the small village of Les Masses and a short drive from the ski village of Les Collons, Thyon and Veysonnaz. The area offers superb and reliable snow conditions with six popular ski lifts within a 12-minute drive of the house. Within less than two hours of skiing, skiers can also easily access other parts of Les 4 Vallées – Nendaz, La Tzoumaz and Verbier. Further afield in the Valais region are nine resorts that reach over 3000m, including Arolla, Crans-Montana, Saas-Fee and Zermatt. The lodge is a 20-minute drive from Sion, the capital of Valais.
