Spread across five floors, decorated in a colonial style with dark woods, rich leathers and swathes of linen; shelves are dotted with curios, ranging from vintage lamps to polished gourds.

Downstairs, there are a number of different sitting rooms, one with a DVD library and a film projector, another light reading room, and one whose rich brown leather furniture complements the lustrous grain of the grand piano. There’s a gym with TV; the eat-in kitchen has a range cooker as well as an ample dining table, or a breakfast bar.

The master bedroom is at the top of the house, with a seating area alongside the bed and is an en suite. The second bedroom has a dressing room, and is an en suite. Both the single bedrooms have a seperate bathroom.
