The house was designed by Robert Spaulding who also designed the surrounding neighbourhood which is known as Spaulding Square. Built circa 1919, the area is now part of the Historic Preservation Zone of Los Angeles.

The home has a front facing living room which is well suited to reading and receiving guests.  There is a beautiful dining room which doubles well as an office.  The kitchen has been recently remodeled and is ideal for those who love to cook or for hiring a chef to prepare meals.   On the rear of the home, there is a large room addition which can function as a bedroom or additional living space.

There is a master bedroom and guest bedroom in the main house. There are two other bedrooms which each have direct access to the garden.  The master is en-suite with a walk-in closet.  The secondary guest room also has a walk-in closet.

The garden is absolutely enchanting space with climbing roses and old growth olive trees.  There is a masonry sofa and fire pit.  The setting is ideal for al-fresco dining, and is a true oasis in the middle of the city.
