The Property

Since the 19th century, The Locusts has been playing host to events more grandiose in scale than most could ever dream of today. The centerpiece of the estate, a beautifully restored Neo-Baroque country manor, sits amidst 1,000 acres of untouched national parkland. The private manor home is perfectly perched on the highest elevation that commands breathtaking views of the Hudson River Valley. During the 1860s the estate functioned as a William B. Dinsmore’s gentlemen’s farm, and town center of Staatsburg. They were famous for prizewinning Jersey cattle, butter, and greenhouses growing exotic flowers.

Wedding or special event information is available upon request.

For events, the maximum occupancy is 40 in the manor and for larger occasions there is capacity for 150 in the beautiful barn located on the property. Please enquire for more information.

The newly renovated manor boasts large stately rooms, floor-to-ceiling windows with scenic views, an expansive entertaining room with a grand piano, a study, a gallery and an elevator. There are 10 log fireplaces throughout the property. A conservatory filled with exotic flowers & plants and a state of the art kitchen. The dining room seats 16 guests.
