The 6-acre gardens, designed by the Bannermans, blend form and freedom, open views and secret spaces. There is a walled kitchen garden with vegetables all year round, and fruit trees. The woodland area is an ideal location for hide-and-seek and there is a tree-house, built between two trees and a gypsy caravan. The swimming pool is a natural pool, with reeds and no chlorine and the water is heated. There is also a tennis court.
Downstairs, there is a large family kitchen including sitting area, huge kitchen table for food preparation, and a dining table seating 8. Central hall with two open fireplaces, one at each end, serves as both drawing room and formal dining room, seating 14. Cosy (but large) family sitting room with log fire and TV.
