year round. Shore cottage is about 600 meters away along the green
walk from the house and is located on its own private beach on
Carskiey Bay.The house looks over the North Channel that
separates mainland Scotland from Northern Ireland and on a clear
day the Antrim Hills are clearly visible. To the South East there
are wonderful panoramic views of Sanda Island and Ailsa Craig

The house is located on its own private beach on Carskiey Bay. There are two easy-access beaches: Carskiey Bay right outside Shore Cottage and Garvault Bay, a safe, completely private beach about a 10-15 mins from Kintyre House. There is deer stalking and also fishing on the estate.
Kintyre House has a large, stone entrance hall. There is a cosy whisky and cigar room, a large drawing room, a grand piano, A wraparound staircase forms the core of the house, at the top of the staircase is the library, which is a great place in the evening to have a glass of whisky, looking out over the sea to Sanda Island.
The dining room, with a painted dining table, comfortably seats 20. On the servants’ side is a generous kitchen. A wonderful chef who specialises in locally sourced food comes with Kintyre House, in addition to the front of house and housekeeping.
There are six main, spacious bedrooms in the house each with a dedicated bathroom. There is also three additional bedrooms above the kitchen all named after food.
There is ample room in the bathrooms, a couple with the original tin baths and some with large chairs to lounge on after a hot bath.
