Château de la Bourlie is a beautiful château located in the heart of one of the most ancient and stunning areas of France, the Périgord – situated in the hills behind the main valley of the Dordogne. The main wing of the chateau has been completely restored to a high standard and has been featured extensively in Conde Nast Traveller, Vogue USA, AD and Elle Decor which celebrated its stylish renovation and unique aesthetic.
The house has beautiful, private gardens and a stunning pool from which to enjoy impressive views of the surrounding countryside. There are lots of activities nearby; tastings and forest mushrooms, truffles, even a wild boar or venison. Flying lessons, light aircraft or helicopter, hot air ballooning. Horseriding around the Dordogne river valley. You can rent canoes and kayaks or simply go river swimming all within 10 minutes of the Chateau.
The main wing of the castle, completely restored, is the scene of a joyful and peaceful life. On the ground floor, the house benefits from: four living rooms, a large dining room, a large medieval kitchen and a more contemporary kitchen, available to the Château’s cook.

6 luxurious double ensuite bedrooms in the main wing of the Chateau. All bedrooms face the gardens, park and forest, with bespoke designer furniture. There are 3 more first floor bedrooms each with their own bathroom in the Fournial, which is a wing within the house.
All bedrooms come equipped 9 spacious ensuite bathrooms. In the main wing, all the bathrooms are made with real marble.

if you do a drive through the Dordogne Valley Beynac, Castelmaud, Domme, La Roque Gageac this is a great restaurant stop
Drive to Belves, to Monpazier (the square is lovely) and if you have time going up to Chateau de Biron, then on the way back go to Beaumont du Perigord, stoping at Saint Avit Seigneur (frescos in the church are simple but beautiful) and have lunch at La Table de Léo.(Cut your tour if you start late and have lunch at Table de Leo and then on your way back stop to visit Cadouin and the Cloister, then Urval.
If you go to Les Eyzies you can visit the Musee de La Prehistoire, the beautiful Cave of Font-de-Gaume (where you cannot book so you should stop there to buy your tickets), you can also see the Abris de Cap Blanc.
