Visitors to Harbour Island will find that the island itself has a real cachet. It's off the beaten path, accessed only by boat, with no automobile traffic and limited retail shops, bars, and restaurants. A true escape, yet for those needing a little social interaction, Sip Sip, a stylish local watering hole, is the place to be. It's where all the locals, and island guests alike, head to get the latest island gos-sip if not to subtly people watch!
Our amazing waters provide you with the best of the best for sport fishing. Perfectly located where the Atlantic and the Caribbean meet, you will find the best fishing for large, deep sea sport fish like Marlin, Mahi-Mahi and Tuna or try your luck with bottom fishing or bone fishing and get some fantastic fights with Grouper, Snapper and Barracuda. Check out your water skills and try spear fishing and bring up a lobster this area is famous for.
On Harbour Island, water activities include jet skiing, kayaking, parasailing, snorkeling explorations of shipwrecks just off shore and surfing. If you’re looking to give surfing a try, January, February, March, September and October are when you can catch the best waves.
