Located on a vast 300 acres on The Bazaruto Archipelago, home to some of the richest and least explored subtropical ecosystems in the Indian Ocean, Kisawa is a stunning sanctuary with landscapes of forest, beach, and sand dunes. Each Residence has its own private beach, spacious living area, outdoor kitchen, open-air deck, infinity pool, and outdoor day area with the option of stunning ocean or cove views. Each 200sqm Residence is housed within its own one-acre plot, offering minimum disturbance and maximum appreciation of the natural environment.
The interiors of Kisawa reflect the people and traditions of Mozambique. Using entwined grasses into sliding door panels and baskets with artisan carved chairs and tables from local jambire and sambiri woods, the décor celebrates African craft from across the continent. Collecting clay pots made by the Nupe tribe in Nigeria and chairs hand-carved by the Makonde people in Tanzania, various antiques gems and artworks from Senegal and Ghana, the bespoke interiors are an elegant mix of organic and modern, with sleek touches like brass bedside lamps, marble tables. Each residence offers a spacious living area & kitchen.
Kisawa offers an outstanding mixed culinary experience, showcasing the best of Africa in fresh and modern ways. Food is supplied by a network of farmers and fishermen from within the Inhambane province, supplying natural, local produce. There are four excellent restaurants with varying cuisines to choose from. Guests can also choose to dine from the privacy of their residence with curated dining 24/7, and a private butler. Guests looking for a unique culinary experience, can enjoy a delicious meal on sand-dunes, beachside or on personalised off property picnics. Additionally, a pizza tuk-tuk allows guests to enjoy oven fresh pizza under the stars.
Kisawa offers a combination of one, two and three bungalow Residences to choose from. All bedrooms feature king size beds and dressing rooms. The one bedroom residence with annex is best suited to young children or support personnel and offers the option of twin/king size beds.

Actively learn by going underwater and observing varied marine life and ecosystems. Join diving expeditions with scientific experts to observe and monitor marine life as part of the Ocean Observatory’s ongoing surveys. The dives can include coral monitoring, as well as oceanographic equipment recovery and maintenance. Expect to see a wide variety of animals, including sharks, rays, marlin and dolphins - anywhere from 6m to 30m in depth.
