Petrava House sits upon two acres of immaculate terraced gardens, surrounded by a rich assortment of flora, such as palm trees and vivid bougainvillea. Take a dip in the impressive turquoise pool before relaxing on one of three outdoor verandas, while enjoying the kaleidoscope of colours and unparalleled sea and mountain vistas.
The interior of the Villa seamlessly blends the contemporary and traditional, paying homage to both oriental and occidental decorating styles, featuring tasteful antique furniture and striking works created by local artists. The property features a magnificent double volume entrance leading you into the bright open plan lounge and formal dining rooms. Upstairs, there is a comfortable living room and pyjama lounge providing guests further spaces in which to relax.
The Villa is self catered and features a fully equipped kitchen, formal dining room, seating 18-20, and several outdoor dining terraces on various levels with breathtaking ocean views. A house manager is available to assist guests throughout normal working hours. Services included – gardening, pool cleaning and housekeeping. The Housekeeper is available six days per week. Additional staffing such as a massage therapist, beautician and security guard are available on request.
The main house features six en-suite bedrooms in total. The Master Suite boasts a cosy living area, complete with fireplace, and a spacious dressing room. The Guesthouse features one en-suite bedroom.
The Villa has six en-suite bathrooms and one Guest WC. There is a bath and shower in the master en-suite, a shower in one of the double en-suites and a bath with shower head mixer tap in the remaining four en-suites.
Guests can take a walk to the nearby Kalk Bay, a popular fishing village with tidal pools where delicious fresh fish can be bought directly from the fishermen. The village hosts a variety of trendy restaurants, cafes. Kalk Bay theatre is ideal for guests looking to enjoy a unique night of entertainment. Located just ten minutes walk from Petrava, this intimate venue offers a range of comedy, dance and music performances.
Located 20 minutes drive from Petrava, this picturesque area, with enormous boulders dividing small, sandy coves, is home to a colony of some 3000 delightful African penguins. A boardwalk runs from the Foxy Beach to Boulders Beach, where you can mingle with the waddling penguins. Kayaking excursions are also available at Boulders Beach, making it the perfect day out for all.
A surfers paradise - Petrava House is located a five minute drive from the famous Muizenberg Beach, known as the birthplace of surfing in South Africa. Other nearby surf spots include Noordhoek, ideal for all ability levels.
