as we have restored the buildings within the grounds of St Giles
House while maintaining its history. The experience gained from
restoring St.Giles House has been put to good use in making sure
the building’s charm and character is preserved. A sensitive
approach has been used in dealing with the historic fabric to allow
the building’s roots as a horse stables to be celebrated
throughout. This creates a completely unique living experience.

Shaftesbury Estates is a beautiful estate set in the gorgeous scenery of Dorset and surrounded by areas of outstanding natural beauty. The Riding House it situated within the beautiful parkland of St. Giles House, the family home of Lord and Lady Shaftesbury.
Upstairs there is a lounge and bar upstairs, ideal for families or groups of friends looking to relax. The rooms, some of them stables, have been carefully converted into cosy living spaces. The beautiful fabric of the Riding House has been preserved, so while guests will be relaxing in modern comforts, a presence of the original horse stables remains.
Downstairs a large dining room space for dinners and breakfasts. Delicious cuisine can be lovingly prepared by the Estates in house cook bringing all your guests together in informal surroundings.
The house sleeps 18. The house has 9 en-suite bedrooms. Each bedroom contains an elegant bathroom and has been designed to perfection, ensuring that no detail has been missed. The uniqueness of our establishment is there for all to see as some of the Riding House rooms have been converted from stables into deluxe spaces.
