The drawing room is a perfect setting for evening drinks, or afternoon tea with stunning garden and lake views and access to the terrace to enjoy drinks. The Library with beautiful oak bookshelves. The furniture throughout the house is mostly antique and floors for the most part sanded wood with rugs scattered throughout. The Hall is full height with a fine oak staircase illuminated by a glass dome. There are also two downstairs cloak rooms.
The layout of the house and three additional properties accommodating a party of up to 30 provides lots of flexibility facilitating large convivial gatherings for a special occasion. The kitchen/breakfast room with stone slate floor has a kitchen table with seating for 10. This traditional kitchen which has recently been refurbished has all the modern facilities you would expect. There is also an elegantly decorated dining room which seats 20 people.
There are eight bedrooms including four doubles, two twins and two bunk rooms. Four of the rooms have en-suite bathrooms, another double has an adjoining bunk room as well as bathroom, and there are two twin rooms sharing one family bathroom.
All the bathrooms at Tresillian have great character and stunning views over the gardens and lake. All en suite bathrooms have both bath and shower facilities fitted out with high quality sanitary ware and heated towel rails/and or radiators. The family bathroom has a free-standing cast iron bath which fits numerous small children.
Newquay is a town on the north coast of Cornwall, in southwest England. It’s known for sandy Fistral and Watergate Bay beaches, where waves from the Atlantic Ocean create strong surf. On the seafront, the Blue Reef Aquarium features an underwater tunnel going through a coral-reef tank with pufferfish, sharks and rays. Further inland, surrounded by tropical gardens, Newquay Zoo is home to lions, wildebeest and sloths.
Visiting the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden offers a remarkable insight into the work and outlook of one of Britain’s most important twentieth century artists. Sculptures in bronze, stone and wood are on display in the museum and garden, along with paintings, drawings and archive material.
St Ives is a town in Cornwall, England, known for its surf beaches, like Porthmeor, and its art scene. The seafront Tate St Ives gallery has rotating modern art exhibitions, focusing on British artists. Nearby, the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden, in the modernist artist’s former studio, displays her bronzes and other works. Boat trips go to Seal Island, just west of town, to see the seal colony.
